About

Just a little about myself, because, really, I'm not that interesting...

My name is Carli and I have two beautiful, wonderful, schizo kids - Jace, 5, and Mia, almost 2 - that make my world go 'round. I am also married to a man named Shea and we just celebrated our 8th anniversary! (I know, right?)  I teach part-time at a mother's day out program for a total of 15 hours of week. And we all live in a happy little home in Edmond, OK.

Just a little backstory - I was born and raised in Comanche, OK and found myself chomping at the bit to get the heck out of Smalltown, USA. I joined the Army National Guard to pay my way through college and to give myself a leg to stand on out in the "real world".  After a year-long deployment to Iraq, I was finally in a place to get my life started. Enter Shea Shea.  We married just three short months after we met and I immediately started back to college.

After graduating, I started working but it was with a heavy heart. I HATED putting Jace in daycare. When we discovered Mia was on her way, I decided to close up shop and become a stay-at-home mom. Thus beginning this journey to self-discovery and purpose.

I started this blog to find ways to identify myself as something other than mom and wife. Who am I as a person with no job or titles?  As I began to make these discoveries, my blog evolved as well to reflect these new nuggets of knowledge.

So thank you for stopping by. I hope this finds you enlightened, inspired, and motivated to start your own journey.  And I sincerely hope you can appreciate the honesty with which I post. For as it is rightly titled, this is me, now.
